On this International Day against the use of Child Soldiers, we have chosen to focus on what these children are going through in certain African countries. In Central African Republic, the number of child soldiers has almost tripled due to recent inter-faith conflicts. Pax Christi International and other organizations estimate that nearly 6000 children have been enlisted by force into the different armed factions.

En cette Journée internationale des enfants soldats, nous avons choisi de mettre l’accent sur ce qui est vécu dans certains pays africains. En République de Centrafrique, le nombre d’enfants soldats a considérablement augmenté à l’occasion des conflits interreligieux. Pax Christi International et d’autres organismes estiment que 6000 enfants ont été enrôlés de force dans les différentes factions armées.

En este día internacional de los niños soldados, se optó por centrarse en lo que los niños viven en algunos países africanos. En la República Centroafricana, por ejemplo, el número de niños soldados ha casi triplicado durante los últimos conflictos religiosos. Pax Christi Internacional y otras organizaciones calculan que más de 6.000 niños fueron reclutados por la fuerza en las distintas facciones armadas.
